Part V - Loving the Gifts, thanks Dems
Obama announced yesterday that the Economy is slowing down! “DUH”… Admitting for the first time Obama that his PLAN was not working..
Obama admitted on Sunday that he did not pay attention to the 8-28 Rally hosted by Glen Beck. With a crowd of Americans estimated to be as large or larger than any before in DC, for Obama to admit he could care less takes off any mask he assumed would hide who he truly is.
Obama is also considering extending the Bush tax cuts which is a complete change from what was the center piece of his 2008 campaign. The assumption is he will not extend the so called “Tax Cuts for the rich” which he has determined to be anyone earning over $250 K a year..
SO.. answer this question: How many small businesses will fall into that category?
No Spin says...
Very small firms with fewer than 20 employees annually spend 45 percent more per employee than larger firms to comply with federal regulations. These very small firms spend four and a half times as much per employee to comply with environmental regulations and 67 percent more per employee on tax compliance than their larger counterparts. For data broken out by industry see www.sba.gov/advo/

“I believe in people keeping their own money,” McMahon tells American Thinker from her campaign headquarters outside — and not inside — the state capitol. “I believe that, if left alone, people will build businesses, create jobs, and provide employment. We need to keep government off their backs — it’s their money, their lives.”
Keep their own money? This is about what you’d expect from a “millionaire” purveyor of “sleaze,” sneers Collins in the Times. She says that McMahon — with money earned in the marketplace — can’t possibly understand the needs of The Street, of Real People, as Blumenthal does, as she does, as her colleagues do. We have the common touch, she says. Witness co-columnist David Brooks, who has admitted that he can occasionally be seen “happily chewing on a Twizzler.” This is Times-speak for “I’m down with the struggle.”

Obama pivots toward the middle
John Peeples
Obama’s long-anticipated, pre-election move to the center is finally here. With two months to go before mid-term elections, Obama is changing his message, and hoping his party benefits from the change. In an interview with NBC’s Brian Williams on Sunday, our President carefully interspersed “moderate” verbiage with his usual Progressive dogma.
Watch the interview here.
While there were plenty of weakly delivered paeans to the Left, Obama offered more than his usual tasty morsels to the Independent middle:
“[We need to] help small business [and]…eliminate capital gains taxes.”
“I’ve always put my money on the American people.”
“[We must oppose] terrorists who want to do us harm….”
“I was doing some historical reading during [my vacation]….we kinda go through these periods…[and then] come out of that funk….” (What an audaciously contemptuous attempt to slander Beck and the Tea Party’s focus on our history.)
To complete his moderate “bona fides”, Obama’s concluding remarks center on the need to address the national debt, the national deficit, and private investment.

You are right, the Dems keep stepping in bigger piles of crap. Eric Holder and Hillary Clinton drafted a complaint addressing the United Nations Human Rights Committee about Arizona’s newly enacted Immigration Bill. With the majority of Americans supporting Arizona, the Obama Administration is adding to the divide with the American people.
For a Republican politician, what more or what better of a Christmas (for you libs, Holiday Gifts) present to deliver.
President Obama continues to find another disconnect with what Americans want. Again, the gift that keeps on giving.
By the way, what would the United Nations do to Arizona if they find the state is committing human rights violations. Would the UN prohibit people from other countries from going to Arizona as punishment. I don’t know, this could be interesting.

Oh, just read the article:
Ahead of Tuesday night’s remarks, Obama also planned to speak with Bush. While Bush’s decision to invade Iraq was criticized by many, the troop surge Bush ordered in 2007 has been credited with tamping down violence in Iraq and helping keep the country from falling into a civil war. Obama opposed the surge, raising the question of whether he’ll give Bush any credit in Tuesday’s address for the role the increase in troops played in leading the war to its end.

Years ago, Diana Beard Williams (DBW) had a radio talk show. She spouted hate and lies. I called her on her lies but she was like a cannibal wanting to eat anyone that felt the need to have property rights.
One day DBW had a round table discussion and I took her apart on the radio for being a looter of property that was earned by others.
DBW coughed and sputtered finally telling me she was only proposing what was good for all. I told her I did what was right for me and others benefited from it. If she wanted to steal my profits she had to call it what it was and I told her she was no different than being a criminal.
She wrapped her criminality up in something called social justice a subjective concept that has no real objective worth except a feeling that those that makes profits off of others are evil which is a her morality being imposed on others. I also told DBW since she thought her morality was superior to mine where I respect others rights to their own self-interest that if her self-interest was going to harm the social subjective construct of hers why would she not immolate herself first.
Again DBW thumbing through a dictionary found the definition of immolate and again sputtered her hated of me.
I laughed at her silly concept of right and wrong, just as I laugh at anyone that holds subjective standards as superior to my objective self-interest.

What these social justice believers fail to realize is that those who have more will stop making more thus causing those who have less will not get more. They won’t be any incentive for those who have the ability to make more when so much is being taken away and no one benefits, in fact many could lose jobs as a result of it.

Reminds me of a story in Roger Moore’s autobiography when he was forced to sell his home in England that he dearly loved, and move to another country, because he had reached a point in his earnings which put him in the 100% tax bracket. He had contractual obligations to keep making movies but he would have had to do them for free.
Moral to the story is rich people can live anywhere they want so it makes sense to keep tax rates at a reasonable level to get something as opposed to nothing.

Kiss the majority bye bye!
From Dick Morris.
Any incumbent who is running at less than 50% of the vote is in serious trouble. It means that a majority of the voters have decided not to vote for him or her. (Asked if you are likely to be married to the same person next year, a vote of “undecided” does not bode well for your marriage).
So here are the numbers:
August 27th Polls
Nevada:
Reid (D) 45 / Angle® 44 (Mason Dixon)
With Reid this far under 50%, Angle is likely to win.
August 26th Polls
Florida:
(Currently Republican) Rubio® / 40 Crist (I) 30 / Meek (D) 21 (Rasmussen)
So much for Crist!
Pennsylvania:
Toomey 40® / Sestak (D) 31 (Franklin-Marshall)
August 25th Polls
Colorado:
Buck® 49 / Bennett (D) 40 (Reuters)
California:
Boxer (D) 49 / Fiorina® 44 (Rasmussen)
Boxer has gained a bit, but still in trouble.
Louisiana:
(Currently Republican) Vitters® / 51 Melancon (D) 41 (PPP)
Wisconsin:
Johnson® 47 / Feingold (D) 46 (Rasmussen)
Illinois:
Giannoulias (D) 45 / Kirk® 45 (Rasmussen)
August 24th polls
Missouri:
(Currently Republican) Blunt: 54 / Carnahan: 41 (Rasmussen)
August 21st Polls
Washington State:
Rossi® 52 / Murray (D) 45 (SurveyUSA)
August 20th Polls
Arkansas: Boozeman® 65 / Lincoln (D) 27 (Rasmussen)
This is not a typo!
The most likely results are that Republicans win the eight seats in which they now lead and also take Illinois and Nevada for a gain of ten seats and control. They also have a good shot in California and possible upsets in New York and Connecticut.

For the first time in history, Gallup finds that Republicans have a double-digit advantage in its generic ballot test.
If the election were held today, 51 percent of respondents surveyed from August 23-29 say they’d vote for the Republican Congressional candidate, while 41 percent say they’d choose the Democratic candidate.
Gallup has conducted this generic ballot test since 1942, and until this year Republicans never had an advantage of more than 5 points."

Well that first time in history poll should be the lead story on the evening news and I’ll bet Glenn, and Hannity will be the only ones covering it.
I’ve been to that area The Mall recently and it would have had to have hundreds of thousands of people to fill it like the pictures show.

Hot on the heels of both Charlie Rangel and Maxine Waters being charged with ethics violations by the House Ethics Committee, the Dallas Morning News reports that Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-TX) has been routinely handing out scholarships from the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation to friends and family members:…
…Charity and ethics experts consulted by the Dallas Morning News suggest that the apparent nepotism involved exposes the CBC Foundation, Representative Johnson and the scholarship recipients to a raftg of possible tax and fraud charges.
In light of the reports exposing her apparent malfeasance, Johnson now reports that she will reimburse the foundation for the scholarships by week’s end.

Military Charity Raises Record Funds Through Glenn Beck Rally
A military charity is raising its profile and reaping record donations through its association with Glenn Beck’s scheduled rally Saturday at the Lincoln Memorial, Time reports.
All proceeds raised by Mr. Beck for his “8/28 Restoring Honor Rally” beyond the costs of the event itself will go to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, which provides scholarships for the children of special-operations personnel killed in action or training.
The Fox News personality’s promotion of the foundation’s rally sponsorship has drawn some $5-million in donations for the group, which has never before raised more than $1-million from an event.

Diflucan: Fluconazole is used to treat fungal infections, including yeast infections of the vagina, mouth, throat, esophagus (tube leading from the mouth to the stomach), abdomen (area between the chest and waist), lungs, blood, and other organs. Fluconazole is also used to treat meningitis (infection of the membranes covering the brain and spine) caused by fungus. Fluconazole is also used to prevent yeast infections in patients who are likely to become infected because they are being treated with chemotherapy or radiation therapy before a bone marrow transplant (replacement of unhealthy spongy tissue inside the bones with healthy tissue). Fluconazole is in a class of antifungals called triazoles. It works by slowing the growth of fungi that cause infection.

Then in 2004, Ward resigned his membership, said Kim Farah, a church spokeswoman in Salt Lake City.

Law enforcement authorities described Lee as a longtime protester at the Discovery Channel building who was sentenced to six months of supervised probation for disorderly conduct in March 2008. Court records show that Lee moved into a homeless shelter after he was released from jail.

Do you want me to post all the uncivil remarks on this site or do you want to try, like others are, to clean this place up and make it a better place to hold court?Come on Matthew.
Why not stop this back and forth about who is more nasty than others and simply decide to try and refrain from name calling.
It is really that tough to do?

Local officials are now saying that “a small number” of hostages are being held and have confirmed reports of multiple shots fired.
An angry manifesto posted by Lee on a website called SaveThePlanetProtest.com repeatedly refers to humans as “filth” and demands that the Discovery Channel “stop encouraging the birth of any more parasitic human infants.”
“Civilization must be exposed for the filth it is,” the 1,149-word statement says.
“Humans are the most destructive, filthy, pollutive creatures around and are wrecking what’s left of the planet with their false morals and breeding culture,” it continues.
Lee also blasts immigration, farming, weapons of mass destruction, automotive pollution, “and the whole blasted human economy.”

“65% increase in Violent crimes against Jewish Americans and a 7.7% decrease against Muslims…”
That’s primarily because a large segment of the non-Jewish white conservative population is anti-Semitic. So is a very large percentage of the black population, despite Jewish aid and efforts during the Civil Rights Movement.
I also think that some people on the fringe left forget to separate American Jews from Israeli foreign policy and lash out at all American Jews, even if their connection to Israel is remote at best.

If President Obama says he is going to allow the Bush tax cuts to remain in effect, don’t believe him. He will do it for political gain, and write some bill 2000 pages long that nobody will understand. He will tax us more while telling us he is not raising taxes.

Why do you not believe him? I see where many governors of states that have filed suits against ‘Obamacare’, have applied and qualified for extended care for their early retirees, including KOCH Industries, who funds the Tea Party group.
Is this not just a talking point for conservative voters for the November election?

Not talking points at all.. This President campaigned as a moderate, making promises to the middle he has not kept as he has governed from the far left.
Trust is the #1 issue with voters right now and because of Obama’s policy decisions, not so much what the GOP has done, the voting public trusts the GOP on the issues that will decide elections in November..
BUT..History has told us, Cuban Missile crisis for example, that an October Surprise can change everything..

Here is what I do not get about the Ground Zero Mosque issue…
IF they move it and make a big deal out of it, to me, the positive results would be tremendous. If they continue to insist on the Ground Zero location, bad blood will exist for years..
There has to be something else involved here..

The part of this story I don’t understand is why the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox church near ground zero has still not been re-built. We keep hearing that the project has been mired in “red tape” while the Islamic Center seems on the fast-track.

If a good faith move on behalf of the muslims were to happen, then I think it would be AWESOME…but I think that money has a lot to do with it. Isn’t real estate over there extremely expensive…that might even be the reason the greeks can’t get through the red tape…political fees, and costs…that sort of thing.

There’s plenty of information on the internet about the Greek church issue; one article dated March 18,’09 in the NYTimes describes the negotiations that have been going on with Port Authority of NY & NJ who own the GZ property, Silverstein Properties who leased the property both before 9/11 and now, and rebuilding the original 1200 sq.ft. property where the church stood, before being crushed on 9/11.
The Port of NY/NJ Authority has offered a land swap, via eminent domain – offering to pay fair market value for the underground space beneath the building.
They have also agreed to pay fair market price for the property so the church could be rebuilt nearby on another property.
Turns out the church wants to rebuild the church to 24,000 sq.ft. – considerably larger than the former church of 1200 sq. ft.
The authority cut the size of the church slightly from the proposed 24,000 sq ft proposal by the church, and told church officials that its dome could not rise higher than the trade center memorial.
After the church reviewed plans for the garage & bomb-screening center that would be built underneath the church, the church wanted $20 Million up front, rather than in stages. Since the church would be built in a park over the bomb-screening center, the authority also agreed to pay up to $40 million for a blast-proof platform and foundation, as the city has claimed eminent domain of the property UNDER the church.
So, it sounds like there’s NO conspiracy going on here, just normal negotiations between the Port Authority and the church. The church has not been told they cannot build there. The Port Authority feels that the church is getting a bit greedy asking for the $20 Million up front, as they feel they will eventually ask for more in the future. Those familiar with construction jobs know about ‘over-run’.

Btw, the Mosque property is again, 2 1/2 city blocks from “GZ” – is NOT on GZ property. The building in question use to be a Burlington Coat Factory store, and is at least 6 stories high. It looks like one of the old ‘loft’ buildings in SoHo, with the fire escapes mounted on the front.
Since most of these types of structures in lower Manhattan have been converted to ‘artists lofts’, each floor has at least 2 huge units of available space. If the building was bought as an ‘apartment’ building – then yes, you could get a lot of people in there!

Just be glad they don’t want to build a Christian church near ground zero. The left would go ballistic.
I love how the left wing organizations took all the Gitmo detainees under their wings to insure that they were not being mistreated and were allowed to have copies of the Kuran and rugs to pray on. The ACLU monitored the military to make sure they were not deprived of their religeous rights. Heaven forbid some high school students try to have a bible study on a high school campus, ACLU would be right on top of them. You have to love the left.

AS for the mosque location not being ground zero, that is a bunch of BS. That very building was struck by airplane parts from one of the towers being rammed by a jet. I would say that would be part of ground zero. If a plane part could fall 2 1/2 blocks, so could human body parts.

There IS a Christian Church near gz. Has been there for what, 250 years? Why should there be a Christian church on GZ property – when NOT ALL VICTIMS WERE CHRISTIAN? And, I might add – not all Victims were Americans.
Yes, body parts went everywhere, including the one’s who jumped from the 80th & 90th floors to their deaths.
Since the buildings were built in the 70’s, they were full of asbestos and other banned materials, and bids were out for major renovations that would’ve cost more to fix than to tear down.
How convenient.
New Yorkers were told by the Bush Admin. that the air was fine, don’t worry – go about your lives – dig up that hole without masks, no problem.
Now their all sick, especially the rescuers and ‘clean up crew’. I imagine if there was a toxicology test done in the dump they took all the refuse to in Jersey – we’d come up with a completely different scenerio as to what people were really exposed to.
But The Party Of NO voted no on extended health care for the firemen, cops and workers who worked on that site, just b4 they left for their little va-cation to raise more $$ to vote NO next session in Congress.
Buy a ticket to NY and see it for yourself – better yet, be one of the no-count NeoCons who want to protest the mosque on 9/11.
totally tasteless.
